Q1. Can I study the e-Learning courses at home?
  • You can study the e-Learning courses anywhere, anytime. As long as you have a computer with internet connection, you can go to the e-Learning website: http://peak.skillport.com/skillportfe/login.action and login with your own login ID and password. Courses can be run on tablets with an internet connection as well, but please note that smartphones are not currently supported.
Q2. What is the minimum hardware requirement of my computer in order to play the SkillSoft e-Learning courses?
Q3. I cannot play the course, why?
Q4. How many times can I take the course test?
  • You can take the test as many times as you wish. Three test results will be recorded in the test reports, "Pre-test" is the first attempt score, "Highest" is the highest score you acheive and "Current" is the most current score you get.
Q5. How can I see my learning progress?
  • You can see the detailed learning progress by clicking "My Progress". Please refer to the User's Guide – View My Report for other details.
Q6. What are the criteria of completing a SkillSoft e-Learning course?
  • The completion criteria can be found in the "Completion Status" after you launch the course. For other requirement, please contact HKICPA.
Q7. I cannot see the whole screen of my course, I cannot click the Next button, what can I do?
  • Please set the browser size to 100% and re-launch the course.
Q8. Do I have to install Java on my computer?
  • If you are using Internet Explorer 9 or above, Chrome, Firefox or Safari 6 or above, the courses are able to launch in a java-free mode, so you do not need to install Java. However, if you are using Internet Explorer 8, Java is needed to be intalled, you can obtain the latest Java from its offical website: www.java.com
Q9. The browser test shows that the result of pop-up blocker is not fully qualified. What does it mean?
  • If pop-up blocker is detected, you may not be able to save your progress properly. The easiest way is to disable the pop-up blocker. Or you can do the following setting:
    - Internet Explorer
    - Chrome
    - Firefox
    - Safari
